I hope this email finds you healthy and well. I am writing today to let you know about two opportunities we have for those who have served or are interested in serving in the United States Uniformed Services.

Service Academy Webinar

As your Representative in Congress, each year I have the privilege of nominating up to ten individuals for each vacant academy slot. These institutions prepare students in our community to be officers of the U.S. uniformed services, and it would be my utmost pleasure to provide you all with some insight into the nomination process.

This informational webinar will focus on familiarizing applicants with our office’s Service  Academy nomination process and include an expert panel of alumni that have graduated from the Service Academy to discuss their experiences. 

Wounded Warrior Fellowship Opportunity

Our office is hiring a veteran to join our team for a two-year paid Congressional Fellowship as part of the House of Representatives Wounded Warrior Fellowship Program. The Wounded Warrior Fellowship Program was established over a decade ago to provide wounded and/or disabled veterans an opportunity to work for Congress. 

This fellow will be based out of our Bronx/Westchester offices. Responsibilities include working with the district team to serve constituents of the 16th Congressional District. Casework, administrative responsibilities as well as working with the veteran community to advance supportive legislation and ensure communication with our office will be a part of this role. Prior experience with a congressional office is not necessary.
